The role encompasses performing non-invasive cardiology testing.
Education: Minimum of a High school diploma or GED
Experience: One (1) year demonstrated competency in electrocardiograms, treadmill stress tests, cardiolyte/adenosine stress testing, Holter monitors, and event recorders preferred.
Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of medical terminology. Demonstrated competency in the performance of routine electrocardiograms, Holter monitors hook up, event recorders and signal average electrocardiograms, treadmill stress testing and cardiolyte/adenosine stress testing preferred.
License and Certifications: American Heart Association (AHA) BLS card and Basic EKG course or Basic EKG can be challenged with a passing of 80% or greater on exam.
Equipment: Electrocardiogram machine, Holter monitor, event recorder, Treadmill.
Physical Requirements: Must be able to perform the essential physical requirements of the job.
