  • Overview


    Performs radiologic examination on patients of all ages and provides radiologist with finished exams for interpretation. Performs front office registration duties in the urgent care and setting as needed.




    Education:  Graduation from an approved program in radiological technology is required. Basic EKG training is required. An individual may be considered for employment if phlebotomy certification and basic EKG training will be obtained within 90 days of hire date.



    Radiology Tech: 1 year previous experience preferred

    Registration: One to three years previous work-related experience in a healthcare or general office environment.  One year experience with a hospital-based registration system or a medical practice electronic medical record system preferred. Previous medical billing, registration, or collection experience preferred.


    Knowledge and Skills: Rad Tech must have solid technical skills while also demonstrating the ability to meet the job duties required of a Registration Clerk in an ambulatory setting.  Must have good communication skills, work well within a team setting, and provide exceptional customer service for patients and their families.  Good verbal and written communication skills.  Must be able to perform multiple tasks at the same time, work independently, ability to comprehend complex issues, and type a minimum of 40 wpm. 


    License/Certifications:  Radiology Tech – ARRT, CRT, California Fluoroscopy permit (within six months of hire date) and American Heart Association (AHA) BLS card.


    Equipment:  X-ray machines, EKG equipment, desktop computer, copy/fax/scanner machine.


    Physical Requirements:  Must be able to perform the essential physical requirements of the job.
