We are looking for a Respiratory Therapist who is highly motivated, with strong communication skills, and a positive attitude with a focus on providing the highest quality patient care and customer service. The successful applicant would have the opportunity to utilize treatment and ventilator protocols, including adult HFOV and APRV ventilator modes as well as being an integral part of our emergency department which is one of the busiest in the area and a designated STEMI receiving center. We want someone who has high level assessment skills to appropriately administer our treatment, ventilator and emergency department protocols. As an essential member of the health care team, this person would interact with multiple health care disciplines in order to provide the best care possible for the patient. They would also provide inservice education under the direction of the manager to all RCP’s and students.
Education: An individual who is a graduate of a one or two-year AMA approved respiratory care program.
Experience: NICU experience preferred
Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of ventilator protocols, adult HFOV and APRV ventilator modes. Neonatal (NICU) and PFT require specialized training and competency.
License and Certifications: Licensed by the State of California as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP). Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS/CPR card. If a Neonatal RCP: Current Certification in Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP)
Physical Requirements: Able to perform the essential physical requirements as noted on job description.
