Follows standardized recipes and diagrams accurately. Consistently prepares high quality food items in required amounts for the designated service area. Sets up and organizes work area for preparing current day's food items with all appropriate ingredients and equipment.
Education: Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED. Able to read, write, and understand sufficient English to perform the requirements of the position.
Experience: An individual who has one year experience in quantity food production in a restaurant or institutional environment.
Knowledge and Skills: Demonstrated competency regarding food preparation and service, and have working knowledge of HACCP and safety regulations. Ability to consistently use creativity in the performance of food preparation. Employee must demonstrate age specific competency regarding food preparation and modified diet restrictions.
License and Certifications: Current San Bernardino County Food Worker’s Certificate or Food Safety Training Certificate from an ANSI accredited program or ServSafe required.
Equipment: Quantity food preparation equipment.
Physical Requirements: Must be able to perform the essential physical job requirements as noted on the job description.
