The (ED) technician provides direct supportive care to patients and may perform designated procedures under the supervision of the registered nurse or physician.
Education: Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED.
Experience: Training and/or experience in the area of unlicensed assistive caregiver in the emergency room environment.
Knowledge and Skills: Able to work in a fast-paced environment; able to anticipate, manage, prioritize and complete work assignments and other duties as assigned.
License and Certifications: Certification as an emergency medical technician (EMT), nursing assistant, (CNA), medical assistant (CMA), or comparable experience providing assistive patient care in one of these roles is essential. A current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS card is required. CPI required within 6 months of hire or upon completion of orientation period.
