Establishes the weekly assignment of SPD Technicians working closely with them to maintain an efficient workflow. Acts as a liaison between SPD department and other hospital departments for daily requests. Keeps Manager/Director informed of operations of the department.
Education: Minimum of a High school diploma or GED.
Experience: Minimum of two years experience within an acute care hospital.
Knowledge and Skills: Proven leadership abilities. Able to work in a fast paced environment. Able to manage, prioritize, complete work assignments and other duties as assigned. Communicates effectively in English, both orally and in writing.
License and Certifications: Current Central Service Technician Certificate.
Equipment: Computer; Ability to operate varied decontamination and sterilization equipment.
Physical Requirements: Able to complete the essential physical requirements of the position as noted on job description.
