JOB SUMMARY

A limited Radiological Technician performs Radiologic examination on    patients of all ages and provides Radiologist with finished exams for interpretation. A medical assistant functions under the direction, guidance, and supervision of a licensed physician, physician assistant, nurse practitioner or RN assisting in coordinating all aspects of the care received in the Urgent Care setting

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education: See License and Certification

 

Experience: Urgent care experience preferred.

 

Knowledge and Skills: Vitals, triage categories, medication administration, splinting, competency in lab and radiology orders, knowledge of medication rotation and record keeping. Should have permits for the following anatomical areas: chest, extremities, leg-podiatric, and torso-skeletal.

 

License/Certifications: Must hold and maintain (via required continuing education credits) current certifications issued by the California Department of Public Health, Radiation Health branch for a limited permit x-ray technician. Technicians should have permits for the following anatomical areas: chest, extremities, leg-podiatric, and torso-skeletal. American Heath Association (AHA) BLS/CPR card required

 

Equipment: EKG machine, blood pressure machine, otoscope, oxygen tank, stethoscope, nebulizer, glucose meter, thermometer, pulse-oximeter, Omnicell medication dispensing cabinet, computer, copy machine, fax Machine, and scanner.  RIS, HIS, PACS, and stationary radiographic equipment.

 

Physical Requirements: Must be able to perform the essential physical requirements of the job.

 

PAY RANGE

$23.00 - $33.42

 

The posted pay range reflects the lowest to highest pay that was available for this position at the time of posting and may be subject to change.  Salary offers are determined by candidate’s relevant experience and skills.  For per diem positions, a standard rate is used based on market data and not the candidate’s individual experience.
