POSITION SUMMARY
The scheduling coordinator provides front office receptionist services, schedules appointments, and acts as a departmental liaison maintaining ongoing coordination within the department and with other hospital departments. This position functions as the primary scheduling and authorization coordinator for the Rehabilitation Department.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.
Experience: One year general office experience, preferably in a health care setting.
Knowledge and Skills: Must have excellent typing and computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and ability to master department-specific software. Must have strong interpersonal, telephone, and organizational skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Must be able to perform as a team member, perform multiple tasks, work independently, and must know medical terminology.
License/Certifications: American Heart Association (AHA) BLS/CPR certified.
Physical Requirements: Must be able to perform the essential physical requirements of the job.
PAY RANGE
$21.50 - $31.82
The posted pay range reflects the lowest to highest pay that was available for this position at the time of posting and may be subject to change. Salary offers are determined by candidate’s relevant experience and skills. For per diem positions, a standard rate is used based on market data and not the candidate’s individual experience.
