Overview

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for developing and maintaining a robust educational program for all departments that register patients within the organization. Support all relevant departments in order to maintain quality registrations, meet competencies and regulatory requirments.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

 

Education: Minimum of High School Diploma or GED.  Related college education preferred.      

 

Experience: Minimum two years’ experience in a hospital setting, ideally including managed care, financial counseling, registration or billing experience. 

                       

Knowledge and Skills: Possesses a strong knowledge of registration/admission requirements and/or accounts receivable processes, billing requirements and managed care issues. Able to assume responsibility and work independently. Able to communicate both inter- and intra- departmentally in an effective manner to achieve desired results. Able to work with groups or individuals communicating patient access, managed-care and revenue cycle topics, focusing on achieving accuracy and compliance of all related topics. Able to resolve concerns or issues with departments and staff, and participate in problem-solving discussions effectively.

 

Equipment: Experienced and proficient in the use of computers to include a variety of software programs. Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point etc).

 

Physical Requirements: Must be able to perform the essential physical requirements of the job.

 

PAY RANGE

$23.40 - $35.10

 

The posted pay range reflects the lowest to highest pay that was available for this position at the time of posting and may be subject to change.  Salary offers are determined by candidate’s relevant experience and skills.  For per diem positions, a standard rate is used based on market data and not the candidate’s individual experience.
