POSITION SUMMARY:

Directly supervises pharmacy technicians. Accountable for managing the day to day activities of the technician staff, and provide staff development. The lead technician, under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, will assist in the various activities of the pharmacy department. The lead technician functions in accordance with standard written procedures, guidelines, and state and federal regulations.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION: Must be a high school graduate or equivalent.

EXPERIENCE: Three years of pharmacy experience. Demonstrated supervisory and coaching skills

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS : Proficient reading/writing. Proficient in all job functions of a SACH pharmacy technician. Basic algebra knowledge 

LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS : Must possess a current valid registration as a pharmacy technician in the State of California. Pharmacy Technician Certification preferred.

EQUIPMENT: Computer, equipment associated with the compounding of pharmaceuticals, automated dispensing cabinets.

Physical Requirements: Must be able to perform essential physical job requirements.

PAY RANGE

$23.40 - $35.10

The posted pay range reflects the lowest to highest pay that was available for this position at the time of posting and may be subject to change.  Salary offers are determined by candidate’s relevant experience and skills.  For per diem positions, a standard rate is used based on market data and not the candidate’s individual experience.
