POSITION SUMMARY
Under the supervision, direction, and guidance of the licensed physican, physician assistant, nurse practitioner or RN, the lead medical assistant assists in coordinating the care provided in the Urgent Care. Supports the Urgent Care Manager in the oversight of the urgent care staff.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Graduate of a medical assistant program.
Experience: Two years experience in medical office setting.
Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of triage categories, types of radiology and laboratory orders, medication administration protocols and the ability to obtain vital signs and assist with splinting. Possess strong communication skills, understands medical terminology, medication rotation, and electronic record keeping. Ability to supervise and manage up to 15 employees.
License/Certifications: Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS card.
Equipment: EKG, Blood pressure, Ear Scope, Oxygen, Thermometer, Pulse-ox, Autoclave, Computer, Copy machine, fax machine.
Physical Requirements: Must be able to perform the essential physical requirements of the job.
PAY RANGE
$23.40 - $35.10
The posted pay range reflects the lowest to highest pay that was available for this position at the time of posting and may be subject to change. Salary offers are determined by candidate’s relevant experience and skills. For per diem positions, a standard rate is used based on market data and not the candidate’s individual experience.
