JOB SUMMARY

The Stroke Nurse Navigator is a registered nurse who functions to improve the care of the neurosurgical patient, stroke patient and provides support to the neuro-science service line. This role encompasses practice and education for the coordination of the multidisciplinary needs of the patient and their family for the duration of their hospitalization and post discharge phase.

      
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Graduate of Nursing Program. BSN or higher preferred.

Experience: Three years experience in critical care nursing and two years experience in neurological and neurosurgical services.

Knowledge and Skills:  Ability to deal effectively and problem solve with patients, families, physicians and hospital staff.

License/Certifications:  Valid CA RN license required. Current American Heart Association BLS card and ACLS required.

Equpment: As appropriate for clinical area.

Physical Requirements: Must be able to perform the essential physical requirements of the job.

PAY RANGE

$47.90 - $71.84

The posted pay range reflects the lowest to highest pay that was available for this position at the time of posting and may be subject to change.  Salary offers are determined by candidate’s relevant experience and skills.  For per diem positions, a standard rate is used based on market data and not the candidate’s individual experience.
