JOB SUMMARY
The PCT functions as an assistant to the Registered Nurse, in addition to providing services such as cleaning and room turnover to facilitate surgical cases. Under the supervision of a licensed Registered Nurse, a PCT assists with positioning and basic care to ensure the safety, comfort, and protection of patients.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred
Experience: The Surgery PCT is an individual with training and/or experience in the area of unlicensed assistive caregiver in a health care environment.
Knowledge and Skills: Able to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing. Able to work and multi-task in a fast-paced environment, effectively managing, prioritizing, and completing work assignments and other duties as assigned.
License and Certifications: Current and active certification as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), or National Registry Emergency Medical Technician(NR-EMT), or Nursing Assistant (CNA), or Medical Assistant (CMA) is required. Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS card is required.
Equipment: None.
Physical Requirements: Must be able to perform the essential physical requirements of the job.
PAY RANGE
$22.00 - $30.57
The posted pay range reflects the lowest to highest pay that was available for this position at the time of posting and may be subject to change. Salary offers are determined by candidate’s relevant experience and skills. For per diem positions, a standard rate is used based on market data and not the candidate’s individual experience.
