Overview

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for the requisitioning, warehousing, logistics/distribution, and inventory management of all goods and equipment in general stores according to established procedures.  This includes all warehouse locations.  Must correctly maintain and channel paperwork to ensure efficient and accurate completion of transactions. Coordinate the procurement/expediting activities of all inventory items maintained within their respective asset locations. Forward all stock transfers via the MMIS system and all special orders to the appropriate Buyer in the Purchasing Office. Assists user departments with questions/problems regarding special orders.  Provide MMIS computer entry of all stock issues, transfers and receipts. Conducts periodic cycle counts with assistance from other Materiel Management staff. Interfaces with Accounts Payable department in reconciling purchase orders and vendor invoices as it relates to over-shipments and duplicate shipments. Pick and fill over the counter and departmental requisitions accurately. Maintain inventory management system including par replenishment, stock level adjustments, item adds, new buttons and labels. Ensure all supply techs follow established policies and procedures when processing goods received and distributed. 

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

 

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.

 

Experience: 3-4 years experience in inventory or supply room setting.

 

Knowledge and Skills: Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills with strong customer service emphasis.  Ability to work as a team member with Departmental and Medical Center staff to complete desired goals and objectives.  Ability to identify customers’ needs and work with others to develop solutions to satisfy those needs without compromising the integrity of the procurement process.  Must have the ability to operate a variety of computer programs including Microsoft Office Suite applications.  Shall possess a professional attitude that promotes and enhances a positive image of the Department and Medical Center.   Working knowledge of medical supplies and terminology preferred.  Must be able to fulfill the essential functions of the position.

 

License/Certifications: California Driver’s License.

 

Equipment: General Office and warehouse equipment.

 

Physical Requirements: Must be able to perform the essential physical requirements of the job. 

 

PAY RANGE

$22.00 - $30.57

 

The posted pay range reflects the lowest to highest pay that was available for this position at the time of posting and may be subject to change.  Salary offers are determined by candidate’s relevant experience and skills.  For per diem positions, a standard rate is used based on market data and not the candidate’s individual experience.
