JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for ensuring the safety of patients, employees, and visitors; protects hospital buildings, assets, and premises.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience: Three years in law enforcment and/or security in a hospital setting. Demonstrated leadership experience in a Security / Law Enforcement / Military organization environment.
Knowledge and Skills: Good verbal and written communication skills. Have excellent decision-making skills in complex and simple problem solving situations. Intermediate computer skills. Good driving record.
License/Certifications: Valid California Guard Card. Valid California Drivers License and approval by the hospitals insurance company as insurable. American Heart Associations (AHA) BLS card for Healthcare workers (within 1 month of hire date/ transfer). Hospital approved workplace violence course (within 3 months of hire date/ transfer). HAZMAT certified (within 6 months of hire date/ transfer). A.H.S.S Basic Security Officer Certification (within 6 months of hire/ transfer). A.H.S.S Advance Security Officer Certification (within 12 months of hire/ transfer). I.A.H.S.S Supervisor training (within 18 months of hire date/ transfer).
Equipment: Hand-held Motorola radio, vehicles, and computers.
Physical Requirements: Must be able to perform the essential physical requirements of the job.
PAY RANGE
$23.40 - $35.10

Salary offers are determined by candidate’s relevant experience and skills. For per diem positions, a standard rate is used based on market data and not the candidate’s individual experience.
