Overview

JOB SUMMARY

Integration Architect works across multiple solutions and interacts with Clinical Informatics Team and Business Analytics Team. This position is the primary communication link between the Information Technology department and nursing and ancillary departments regarding the potential impact of proposed organizational operational changes to clinical information systems operations, and the potential impact of proposed organizational changes to clinical information systems on organizational operations.

                  

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

 

Education:  Bachelor’s Degree in Clinical Informatics, Nursing, Health care Information Systems, or related field or equivalent experience.

 

Experience:  Minimum of five years active and progressive experience in a hospital patient care setting. Experience in major health care information systems, including planning system installations/upgrades, analysis and support of clinical information systems.

 

Knowledge and Skills: 

  1. Understands basic concepts related to information system applications, networks and interfaces.
  2. Strong analytical and statistical skills and interpretive abilities to analyze data and make recommendations for improvements or changes.
  3. Professional demeanor, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and strong interpersonal skills to effectively interact with all levels of system users, physicians, leadership and vendors.
  4. The ability to analyze complex information systems and exercise judgment in identifying system problems and solutions to correct the problems.
  5. Proficient in use of project management, word processing, flowcharting, database, and electronic mail software applications or the ability to learn in a short period of time.
  6. Two years experience in the design, build, and support of Cerner Millennium solutions which can include: PowerPlans, Therapies, Advanced Care Documentation, Care Documentation, Medication Administration Record (MAR), Clinical Data Repository, PowerOrders, Discern Expert, Discern Explorer, Power Vision, charge control tools, broad understanding of all other skill specialties.

Equipment: Proficient in use of desktop PCs, desktop data bases, and office automation systems.

 

Physical Requirements: Must be able to perform the essential physical requirements of the job.

 

PAY RANGE

$55.58 - $68.39

 

The posted pay range reflects the lowest to highest pay that was available for this position at the time of posting and may be subject to change.  Salary offers are determined by candidate’s relevant experience and skills.  For per diem positions, a standard rate is used based on market data and not the candidate’s individual experience.
