Overview

JOB SUMMARY

This position assists in the coordination of youth programming which includes collaborating with school districts, community agencies, and local government to promote health and develop interest for the future health workforce in the region.  Responsibilities include adapting curriculum, operationalizing the program, training and orienting volunteers, and working alongside a team of staff and interns.  Other responsibilities include support for interventions and implementation of programs that address the health needs identified in the Community Health Needs Assessment.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

 

Education:  A Bachelor’s degree in public health, social work, education, or business is required. A Master’s degree preferred.

 

Experience:  Two years of community experience in organizing and executing projects, preferably in a health or community setting. This requirement may be met through a combination of professional, educational, internship, and community service experience.    

 

Knowledge and Skills:  Ideal candidates will have the ability to work with diverse groups including hospital management, schools, non-profits, civic/community partners, and the public.  Strong organizational abilities including planning, program development, and implementation.  The ability to manage competing priorities and effectively prioritize work.  Strong written and oral communication skills.  Self-motivated and ability to work independently is required.  Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, conference software such as Zoom, Google applications, and Canva is highly desirable.

 

License/Certifications: Valid driver's license.

 

Equipment:  Personal computer.

 

Physical Requirements:  Must be able to perform the essential physical requirements of the job.

 

PAY RANGE

$24.58 - $36.88

 

The posted pay range reflects the lowest to highest pay that was available for this position at the time of posting and may be subject to change.  Salary offers are determined by candidate’s relevant experience and skills.  For per diem positions, a standard rate is used based on market data and not the candidate’s individual experience.
