JOB SUMMARY
The continuous visual monitor technician functions to observe patients via a remote audio and visual monitoring system to promote patient safety. Under the supervision of a licensed Registered Nurse, a Continuous Visual Monitor Technician practices communication techniques to enhance patient, unit staff and Monitor Technician collaboration and support provides basic nursing services to ensure the safety, comfort, personal hygiene, and protection of patients.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: High School Diploma preferred. Satisfactory completion of Basic AvaSys® Monitor Staff Training & AvaSys® Monitor Staff Competency Validation.
Experience: Willing to train.
Knowledge and Skills: Able to work in a fast-paced environment; manage /prioritize/complete monitoring. Able to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing. Must have strong interpersonal, telephone, and organizational skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Must be able to perform as a team member, perform multiple tasks, work independently, preferred medical terminology course.
License/Certifications: Current Healthcare Provider BCLS card required; Basic AvaSys® Monitor Staff Training Certificate.
Equipment: AvaSys® Monitor System and Headset/Microphone.
Physical Requirements: Must be able to perform the essential physical job requirements.
PAY RANGE
$21.00 - $29.12
The posted pay range reflects the lowest to highest pay that was available for this position at the time of posting and may be subject to change. Salary offers are determined by candidate’s relevant experience and skills. For per diem positions, a standard rate is used based on market data and not the candidate’s individual experience.
