Overview

POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for assisting the Director of Pharmacy with departmental management and operations such as planning, coordinating, and supervising pharmacy services throughout the organization.  The Pharmacy Manager facilitates the development, implementation, and maintenance of systems that promotes safe and effective medication management. Serves as appointed designee in the absence of the Director of Pharmacy. Responsible for the daily activities of the pharmacy.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

 

Education: An individual who is a graduate of school of pharmacy with a minimum of a Doctor of Pharmacy degree. 

 

Experience: The Pharmacy Manager will have 4 years of experience in the field of hospital pharmacy and demonstrated competency in supervision or management. The individual may have other training or experience with the approval of the director of pharmacy. 

 

Knowledge and Skills:  Required to competently provide prescribed medications and drug information as needed to ensure adequate patient care according to professional standards/practices and hospital policy/procedures. Effective organizational and leadership characteristics to integrate and promote pharmacy into achieving multidisciplinary and medical staff goals.

 

License/Certifications: Must possess a current, valid license to practice pharmacy in the State of California.

 

Equipment: Computer.

 

Physical Requirements: Must be able to perform essential physical job requirements.

 

PAY RANGE

$67.66 - $101.50

 

The posted pay range reflects the lowest to highest pay that was available for this position at the time of posting and may be subject to change.  Salary offers are determined by candidate’s relevant experience and skills.  For per diem positions, a standard rate is used based on market data and not the candidate’s individual experience.
